I read last year that Microsoft was gonna release C# for mac os x, any updates on that? Or was it just a rumor? Also, is there any way of writing cross-platform apps using C#? Saturday, May 5, 2007 12:55 AM. Working with C#. The C# support in Visual Studio Code is optimized for cross-platform.NET Core development (see working with.NET Core and VS Code for another relevant article). Our focus with VS Code is to be a great editor for cross-platform C# development. VS Code supports debugging of C# applications running on either.NET Core or Mono. C# (pronounced 'c-sharp') is a great coding language that works across Mac and PC. Programmers use it to build a variety of software applications, especially in the Windows environment. Cake (C# Make) is a C# version of the open source Make build automation tool. A cross-platform build automation system, Cake uses a C# DSL for tasks such as compiling code, running unit tests, copying files and folders, compressing files, and building NuGet packages. Key Features: Available on Windows, Linux and OS X.
YouTube Dashboard Concept for Mac implemented in C# by C# Ui Academy. In this demo we will use Guna Ui Framework but you can use any framework with ellipse control or can design your own custom tools for that.
Tools Required:
Visual Studio 2010 or latest version.
Guna Ui Framework. Get the latest version from their official Website.
Icons 8 Desktop Application (Optional) for icons. Download it from Here.
Steps to Follow:
Open visual studio and create a new Windows forms application project.
Go to the design view of your form Press F4 key to open properties box.
Change the AutoScaleMode to None and FormBorderStyle property to None.
Change the background colour property to White.
Now go to the ToolBox and scroll down to bottom or right click and select Add Tab and name the tab ‘Guna Tools‘.
Go to the folder from Windows explorer where your Guna2.DLL file is downloaded.
Drag the DLL file and drop it into your ToolBox.
Add two panel controls and Dock one to the left and other to Fill.
Now add a GunaCustomGradientPanel and go to properties and change the border radius to 18. Change the Fill Color properties to your choice. for this example we’ve used (53,41,123).
Add GunaElipse control and go to properties and change TargetControl to name of your form. also change the border radius property to 30.
Now add a GunaButton control from toolbox and change the following properties, Border Color: 53,41,123; FillColor: 53,41,123; Checked: True; BorderRadius: 24; Size: 60,65; ButtonMode: RadioButton.
Change the image of Button and also set the checked properties. Set the BackColor to Transparent and place this button in Gradient Panel.
Add a picture box and place it on right side of panel, this will add a round outer edges to the button. You’ll find the image in the Resources Folder in the Source Code.
Select the Buttons and goto onCheckedChange event and add the following Code:

In this section, you will get SQL Server 2017 on Docker. After that you will install the necessary dependencies to create .NET Core apps with SQL Server.
C Sharp Format String As Datetime
Step 1.1 Install SQL Server
In order to run SQL Server on your Mac, we are going to use the SQL Server on Linux Docker Image. For this, you need to install Docker for Mac.
Configure at least 4GB of memory for your Docker environment, also consider adding multiple cores if you want to evaluate performance. You can do this in the Preferences - Advanced option on the menu bar.
Next, start a new Terminal prompt and use the following commands to download and start the SQL Server on Linux Docker image. Make sure to use a strong password with special characters.
You now have SQL Server running locally in Docker! Check out the next section to continue installing prerequisites.
Step 1.2 Install Homebrew and .NET Core
If you already have .NET Core installed on your machine, skip this step.
Install .NET Core by downloading the official installer. This installer will install the tools and put them on your PATH so you can run dotnet from the Console.
You have successfully installed .NET Core on your Mac. You now have everything you need to start writing your C# apps with SQL Server!
